Above all powers, above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of Man
You were here before the world began
Above all kingdoms, above all thrones
Above the wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what you're worth
Crucified, laid behind the stone
You lived to die, rejected and alone
Like a rose, trampled on the ground
You took the fall, and thought of me above all
I took a small step back today and the song spoke volumes. It's a super oversung song I know, almost every Christian knows this song written by by Michael W. Smith. But today, particularly today, the lyrics mean so much to me.
I have this bad habit of thinking that the Lord is out to entrap me and add to my already baggage-full of woes. Sometimes I catch myself doing it, but other times I just go about thinking nobody bothers how I feel deep within and nobody would want to do anything about it. Then I got reminded today, He took the fall, and thought of me above all. My God is above all wisdom and all the ways of Man, above all wealth and treasures of the earth, above any other thing you could have ever thought of.
Matthew 10:29 "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from the will of your Father." The sparrows who seem worthless in monetary sense, the Lord does not even let them fall to the ground apart from His hands. How much more you and I.
And so, I will not worry oh God. Above all.
i left my footprints (:
